His Royal Majesty Oba Ewuare II was educated in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Omo N’Oba Ewuare II started his academic career in the mid-60’s at primary and secondary schools in Benin City. His secondary education was temporarily interrupted by the Nigerian Civil War of 1966.

He went on to the United States of America for his Master’s degree in Public Administration and received postgraduate training at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.

In the short period during which he has reigned, he has reined in the Community Development Associations (CDAs) whose activities have resulted in land grabbing and crisis in many communities.

Oba Ewuare II is also a great advocate of agricultural development, arts and culture, which have the capability of creating much-needed employment opportunities for young people and furthering the cause of peace in the land.
